INTERNATIONAL FRIDAYS: VIA ANDREA DORIA, TURIN, ITALY

Two weeks ago this International Fridays post was in Venice for the fabulous restoration and conversion of the Palazzo Molin del Cuoridoro, and this week it’s back to Italy for this sleek and contemporary apartment in the centre of Turin. After spotting this two bedroom property featured on HomeDSGN I had to share it for its quiet elegance and careful detailing, not to mention the combination of materials and finishes.

The apartment was designed by architect Fabio Fantolino - you can see more of his projects here. One of the key features is the contrast between the light-drenched living spaces, including the dining area and the kitchen - although these areas also have a different mood at night thanks to the integrated lighting scheme - and the moody depth of the palette used in the bedroom photographed here, along with the en-suite and dressing area, with the dark timber finishes and exposed brick. Gorgeous. This apartment is light and airy by day, as it should be, and warm and enveloping by night.

For sale here. €850,000, House Factory.
